suPAR Extended
Intro
suPAR is the soluble form of the urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) expressed on the cell membrane of immune cells, endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells and is upregulated in inflammation sites.
Method
The CHORUS Extended suPAR test is based on the principle of the ELISA sandwich method.
The suPAR in the test sample binds to the specific antibodies present in the solid phase and in the conjugate. The unbound components

enzyme immunoassay kit for the quantitative determination of suPAR. The test is conducted on human serum and plasma using a single-use device applied to the CHORUS TRIO instruments. suPAR is a non-specific parameter of an inflammatory state, used as an aid in monitoring the patient's physiological or pathological state. It must only be used by professional laboratory personnel.
Interpretation of the results:
< 4 ng/ml - Physiological value
4-6 ng/ml - Deviation from the physiological value, indication of a likely ongoing inflammatory process
> 6 ng/ml - Pathological value, strong indication of an ongoing inflammatory process (acute or chronic) and likely deterioration of the clinical condition
